Seeding a healthier world through partnership and innovation
President Ana Mari Cauce visited Tsinghua University earlier today to accept an honorary degree and to take part in the Global Vision Lectures series.
Her remarks for the lecture focused on two main ideas:
- Through partnership, change is possible – no matter the scale of the challenge
- Innovation lies at the heart of progress, and not simply innovation in the technical sphere, but in all areas of human endeavor
She highlighted the Population Health Initiative as an example of these ideas, and stressed that change at a global scale is possible only in collaboration with many partners.
