Katterman Lecture April 28: Pharmacy Revolution
The 28th Annual Katterman Lecture, Profitability and the Pharmacy Revolution: Keys to Profitability in Traditional Pharmacy Practice and the Growing Clinical Services Sector, will be presented by the UW School of Pharmacy Saturday, April 28, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Health Sciences Center, T-435.
Learn how changes in Medicare D have prompted an increase in value-added services in local pharmacies and how these services are improving the patient experience and business owners’ bottom line. Whether you are a pharmacist or other health care worker, you’ll want to learn of these important trends in our health care system.
Dale Christensen, professor of pharmaceutical policy and evaluative science at the University of North Carolina and affiliate professor at the UW School of Pharmacy, and Steve LeFever, chairman and founder of Business Resource Services, Inc., are the keynote speakers.
Christensen has been developing and evaluating pharmacist medication therapy management services for over 15 years with Medicaid agencies in Washington and North Carolina. He will discuss how Pharmaceutical Care/MTM Services can be incorporated into current pharmacy practice. LeFever is a highly knowledgeable and entertaining presenter with an extensive business background and a solid understanding of the health science industry and the challenges today’s business owners and health care workers face.
