Engineering dean candidate to visit Nov. 7

The campus community is invited to meet with the first candidate to visit, Matthew O’Donnell, Jerry W. and Carol L. Levin professor of engineering and professor and chair of biomedical engineering at the University of Michigan.



  • Monday, Nov. 7, 4:15 – 5:15 p.m., open candidate seminar and question/answer session in 105 Electrical Engineering. All are welcome.
  • 5:15 – 6:45 p.m., reception for O’Donnell in the Microsoft Atrium of the Paul G. Allen Center for Computer Science & Engineering


O’Donnell received his doctorate from the University of Notre Dame in solid state physics and has been at the University of Michigan since 1990. He was a co-founder of the Biomedical Engineering Department at the University of Michigan and became its department chair in 1999.
