New parking and transportation fees effective July 1
Last year, the Board of Regents approved a three-year transportation fee schedule that provides for increases on July 1. For a list of 2005-2006 fees, see www.washington.edu/admin/parking/2004fees.html. Choices are available to help students and employees manage their transportation expenses and minimize the need to drive every day. Walking, biking, carpooling and taking the bus are excellent ways to reduce spending on commuting.

Sample of fee changes effective July 1:

  • Single Occupant Vehicle (SOV) Parking Permit: $232.86 per quarter
  • Daily gatehouse permit: $10 per day
  • Montlake E1 Parking: $2.62 with a Husky Card Account debit
  • Student U-PASS: $41 per quarter
  • Faculty/staff U-PASS: $57 per quarter

See: www.washington.edu/admin/parking for more information.
