Students to help design transportation hub

UW architecture and planning students and their advisers are helping develop a vision for a future transportation hub in Seattle south of downtown. Efforts focus on a 20-block area surrounding King Street Station, located at Fourth Avenue South andSouth Jackson Street.

Students will work for a week to develop design principles and sketches of a planned transportation center, public space and mixed-use housing in the study area. The public is invited to a results presentation, 1–3:30 p.m. Sunday, April 6, at Seahawks Stadium and Exhibition Center, For more information contact Sharon E.
