The UW will host a Veterans Day ceremony from 12:30 to 1:15 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8 at the World War II memorial flagpole on the northwest end of Red Square.
There will be remarks from Vice Provost Steve Olswang and Jack Faris, vice president for university relations. The guest speaker will be Lieutenant Colonel Fain Pool, USAF (retired), a decorated pilot who flew combat missions in every major U.S. conflict from World War II to the Vietnam War. Music will be provided by the UW School of Music.
The event is open to all members of the community.
