Public health talks here next week

Two speakers featured at the BioDefense Mobilization Conference being held at the Westin Hotel next week will also be making presentations for the UW School of Public Health and Community Medicine. Both events at the UW are open to everyone.

Dr. Victor Sidel, professior at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City and past president of the American Public Health Association, will speak on “Bioterrorism Preparedness: Coopting Public Health?” from 3:30 to 5 p.m., Monday, April 8, in room T-639 of the Health Sciences Center.

George A. Strait Jr., media consultant and former chief medical correspondent for ABC News in Washington, D. C., will speak on “The Public Health Practitioner as a Public Resource” from 2:30 to 4 p.m., Wednesday, April 10, in room T-739 of the Health Sciences Center.
