Dream Project in the news

Mentor reflection
The Dream Project works. Last fall, we concluded our grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, which funded a four-year evaluation of the Dream Project's impact. The results are in and local news outlets were happy to spread the good news! Read on.

Seattle Foundation Grant

The Dream Project was awarded $39,000 from the Seattle Foundation’s Give Together for Higher Education grant. The Seattle Foundation was looking to give to organizations that provided wraparound support services to underserved populations in King County with a focus on supporting students on the path to completing a four year degree, two year degree, or certificate program. Mentor reflections

Mentor reflection

UW sophomore Meili Powell credits the Dream Project with helping define her path. Adopted from China at an early age, Powell’s adoptive mother was a consistent figure of support throughout her childhood. Mentor reflection

I wake up every Thursday at the crack of dawn, struggling to get out of bed. Mark your calendars!

Scholarship Saturday Wrap Up!

Mentor reflection

This year’s event happened on January 31st, and we had over 150 high schoolers participate! This year’s Scholarship Saturday has grown so much from previous years that we plan to reevaluate the event and change the layout of it in some capacity; perhaps including lunch and extending the work time for students. These decisions will be made in the coming weeks. Learn more.

SUPPORT STUDENTS

Your gift to the Dream Project can support scholarships to help first-generation and low-income high school students achieve the dream of attending college.
