Summer Melt: What is it? |

Up to 40% of college-intending students who have already made deposits to their chosen college don’t end up on campus in the fall. This phenomenon is called “summer melt.” Students who are low-income are more likely “melt away” over this critical summer period. Learn what the Dream Project is doing to help college-bound mentees get to campus. Learn more. |

Admissions Workshop Weekend |

More than 750 low-income and first-generation high school students from the Puget Sound region will come to the UW campus in November for Admissions Workshop Weekend (AWW). College admissions counselors, writing tutors and mentors will assist students with all parts of the application process. Our goal: each student will apply to at least three colleges by the end of the weekend. Read on. |
Grant News |

Dream Project received a $50,000 grant from USA Funds last August for the 2014-2015 school year. The grant, entitled “Mentorship in Action: Being Leaders, Creating Leaders,” will support costs associated with Dream Project’s weekly high school visits as well as the program’s college student leadership and career development activities.
