DP Alumni Network
Networks are EVERYTHING. It's how you get connected to an internship, a job, a person of interest—even meet celebrities! Dream Project has a LARGE network; it has touched so many people's lives. Dream Project has connections all over the world and we are all on different paths. We want to provide a space for DP alumni to meet one another. So for those who are interested, every month there will be a happy hour meet-up. Date and location of the meet-ups will be sent to those who fill out this survey. If you have any questions or comments or if you want to help coordinate these events, please contact Florence Sum. The Hometown Mentor Program through the College Success Foundation recruits college-educated mentors from local communities to support and offer guidance to low-income high school seniors in Tacoma, Seattle and Highline as they prepare for college. We have an urgent need for mentors in several Seattle high schools (Cleveland, Rainier Beach and Garfield). Mentors must be at least 21 years old. Here's a link with more info about the program and volunteer opportunity including the application. Please consider this rewarding volunteer experience and contact Keith Stier-Van Essen at the College Success Foundation f you have more questions. October 2014 | Return to issue home | |||
