Numbering at least 15 members, the Board sets policy for the UWAA, serves as ambassadors to the alumni community and the public, and advocates for higher education. In keeping with our mission of broad-based engagement, UWAA trustees represent a wide range of viewpoints, backgrounds and experiences.
Background and Purpose
The University of Washington Alumni Association was founded in 1889 and has been the foundation of the UW alumni community for more than 125 years.
UWAA’s mission is to support the University of Washington and higher education in the state of Washington.

The UWAA is currently accepting nominations for trustee candidates.
Confidentiality
Due to the limited number of new trustees selected each year through a competitive process, we ask that you do not inform candidates of their nomination. All deliberations are kept confidential.

The information provided to the UWAA will be kept strictly confidential, used only for the purpose described below, and will not be shared with the University of Washington nor any other external agency or individual.
