Dyea Trail

from Dyea to Sheeps Camp it is fearfully muddy and runs over rocks and...runs uphill and down Hill continuously and every step taken on this distance has to be taken carefully will lead to a heavy fall and at some places to ones Death....[but]...one of the many impressive places which my eyes have behold...but also...the groaning of women, children, and horses alike under their heavy [loads]...as they are passing by sinking now and again in muck to their knees.....but then...another sight catches my eye which impresses me more deeply and lasting....
