As the Undergraduate Research Symposium continues to grow, we are eager to have students from all fields of research participating. Here, you’ll find examples to help you imagine how your project could take shape at the Symposium. While this page spotlights fields from which we hope to increase participation at the Symposium, students from all disciplines are welcome and encouraged to participate.

Application timeline
- Application open: Jan. 6, 2026, 12:00 a.m.
- Application closes: Feb. 12, 2026, 11:59 p.m.
- Applicants must hit submit by this deadline in order to be considered to present.
- Mentor feedback deadline: Feb. 20, 2026
- Revision window: Mar. 9 – 16, 2026
- During this time, applicants will be able to make minor edits that do not alter the nature of their research from the original submission.
- Registration: Mar. 17 – 27, 2026
- Presenter check-in: May 14 – 15, 2026

Abstract Writing Workshop
In pair with our Symposium Information Sessions, we are hosting an Abstract Writing Workshop! This workshop will take place January 27, 2026, from 2 – 4 p.m. and is come-and-go. During this time, stop by with your abstract or questions and get support in finalizing your abstract before submitting your application. RSVP coming soon.
