What are councils?
Fraternity and sorority chapters across the country belong to one of four governing councils— the Interfraternity Council (IFC), Panhellenic Association (PHA), National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) and Multicultural Greek Council (MGC).
How to join
Each chapter or organization has a differing recruitment process, depending on a variety of factors including what council they are associated with. Recruitment, or rushing, can happen during a summer/fall process for incoming students but also year-round. Any qualifying student freshman to senior is welcome to rush. Learn more about how to join via each of the council’s sites.
