The Office of Fraternity & Sorority Life (OFSL) was officially established in 2009 through a collaborative partnership among the Interfraternity Council (IFC), Panhellenic Association (PHA), their respective alumni councils, and the University of Washington.
This model replaced privately employed advisors and reflects a shared commitment, with OFSL jointly funded by IFC, PHA, and the UW. Today, OFSL serves as the primary advising and support unit for the IFC, PHA, Multicultural Greek Council (MGC), and National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC). The office provides comprehensive services and educational programming to fraternity and sorority chapters, their members, alumni/ae, and inter/national headquarters, fostering leadership development, accountability, and a values-based fraternity and sorority experience.
