When available, Husky Assist will serve UW Seattle campus members who have an urgent behavioral health need. Campus members include students, faculty, staff and campers.

Husky Assist is available Monday through Friday, 11 a.m.- 8 p.m., excluding state holidays. The UW Police Department will prioritize and support crisis calls when calls are outside of Husky Assist hours or a Husky Assist team member is not available.

No, the team will only respond to people and events on the Seattle campus. There are other mental health and crisis resources for those living off campus. Call the Seattle Police (non-emergency) at 206-625-5011 or 911 (emergency) to talk about what you need.

No. Husky Assist can respond to any campus member (students, faculty, staff, etc.) but people in distress on campus who are not affiliated with UW have other resources that can be mobilized. Call UWPD to discuss possible options for response with non-affiliated people in distress on the UW Seattle campus, 206-685-8973 (non-emergency) or 911 (emergency).

No. Husky Assist team members are considered “confidential employees” and do not have a mandate to report under Title IX. Husky Assist team members do have to report suspected child abuse/neglect and abuse/neglect of vulnerable adults.
