University of Washington Emergency Medical Services is:
- Affiliated with UW Medicine – Department of Emergency Medicine,
- Operating under the Emergency Services Supervisory Organization (ESSO) Medic One Paramedic Training at Harborview, as defined in RCW 18.73.030.
University of Washington EMS Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) are authorized to provide non-transport Basic Life Support (BLS) medical care, as per the Washington State Department of Health and RCW 18.73.030.
