With a legacy of graduating innovative, community-focused students, the partners leverage their strengths and serve as part of a regional, community-based medical education program, WWAMI (Washington [Seattle & Spokane], Wyoming, Alaska, Montana and Idaho).

MEDEX Northwest is proud of its long–standing mission to educate physician assistants who will practice primary care in medically underserved and rural areas of the University of Washington School of Medicine service region. The classroom and offices of MEDEX Spokane are housed in the recently refurbished SIERR building.

Regional Initiatives in Dental Education (RIDE) is an expansion of the University of Washington School of Dentistry in conjunction with the University of Washington School of Medicine and Eastern Washington University in Spokane, Washington. The RIDE program is a specific educational track that trains dentists to meet the needs of rural and underserved populations in the state and region.
