
Community Connect UW (CCUW) is a database and management platform that allows UW faculty, staff, students and community partners to connect, organize, and understand impacts of collaboration. Over the past academic year, we’ve expanded Community Connect UW exponentially:
- Over 100 courses tracked, with over 90 managed through the platform, spanning campuses, units and geographies
- 30+ Civic Health Scorecard badges awarded through CCUW to NextGen leaders
- Co-curricular programs such as Connected Huskies, Othello-UW Commons and Riverways
- Innovative uses by such groups as Latino Leadership Initiative, UW Medicine’s Office of Health Care Equity, and UW Tacoma’s School Psychology Field Supervisors Community of Practice
- The new roadmap to assess community engagement at the UW is informing Community Connect UW data architecture and use
By the Numbers:
- >11,000 students, faculty, staff across 3 campuses
- >450 community partners now sharing opportunities
- >1600 UW positions, events and opportunities
- >41,000 “impacts” of hours or deliverables
We continue to build demos, guides and step-by-step instructions as users and uses expand:
- CCUW and GivePulse training – this Google folder has expanded to include more demos
- Canvas integration for community-engaged courses – explore these specific guides and videos
- UW Users – Join the CCUW Community of Practice to leverage CCUW (NetID required)
By fall 2026 we aim to:
- Align a coherent tri-campus partner and student experience in CCUW
- Implement a strategy for co-curricular activities, with such programs as UW Tacoma’s Strickland Fellowship
- Bring together data from CCUW, UW Tacoma’s Collaboratory, and other sources into a solid reporting dashboard with metrics that are meaningful to UW and partners.
