Curriculum Development Awards

(A competition jointly sponsored by the College and Tools for Transformation)

This proposal will create courses exploring philosophical issues within the physical sciences. These courses will concern both the conceptual foundations of particular theories and the metaphysical issues raised by various theories, such as the kinds of explanations they provide and the nature of causation. Materials will be developed capable of serving a diverse university audience including students within phyilosophy, the natural and social sciences and the history of science.
