The UW’s VIP (Very Involved President)

Robert J. Jones joined the University of Washington last summer. Watch this “Rushmore”-inspired peek into all he’s explored since.

We give our first-year students the same advice: Try all the things; make the most of your time; embrace the Husky Experience. When Robert J. Jones joined the University of Washington as our 34th president last summer, he took that first-year guidance to heart, connecting with students and exploring all that campus has to offer.

As you can see, he’s kept plenty busy this year. In a nod to Wes Anderson’s 1998 film “Rushmore,” we captured President Jones jumping in to campus clubs and trying his hand at kung fu, robotics, knitting and more.
