Our culture at UW-IT is defined by collaboration, innovation and service to our entire University. We work together and with countless others throughout the UW to advance important work—whether that’s world-class research, advancing the teaching and learning experience or streamlining business processes. The work constantly changes but collaboration is always in our blood.
What else defines us?
- We start with clear organizational goals: IT that matters, any time, any place, any device. We serve a University with more than 35,000 staff and 45,000 students across several campuses and medical centers. Our reach is international, helping the UW conduct its work throughout the world.
- A diverse workforce to make it happen: We are nearly 500 strong, and from all walks of life. Millennials. Baby boomers. Generation Xers. And each year, a new batch of UW students work and learn with us. The glue that holds us together is respect and support for one another.
- Life/work balance to keep us engaged: As a service-oriented organization, we work hard at UW-IT. But we are not afraid to take a breather. In fact, we encourage it. We want happy and rested work partners because that’s how we get engaged, committed colleagues.
- Learning, always learning: We seek an environment where our colleagues are encouraged to innovate. We offer opportunities to look at our work in new ways, including a quarterly Leap Forward Day, where we have the time to explore and take risks that can help us transform the way we work and contribute to our great University.
