LIT 228 The Imagination of Water (5) VLPA Watts
Interprets a variety of texts (literary, cinematic, etc.) that address the water crisis to understand how water's meaning has changed as people become more conscious of risks in supply (pollution and natural/man-made scarcity) and as access to it is increasingly mediated in light of things like privatization and commodification. Offered: jointly with FRENCH 228.

LIT 298 Topics in Literature and Culture (5, max. 10) VLPA
Introduces literary works and cultural artifacts from a variety of different traditions, cultures, and periods. Helps students to acquire basic tools for analyzing literature and culture.
