IMAP Clients Provide Only Email, Not Calendar, Tasks, or Contacts
When you connect to an Exchange server using an IMAP client program, you get only Exchange email functionality. You do not get access to the other features of Exchange: calendar, tasks, and contacts. The Exchange IMAP service is minimal, and not all functions of the client program may perform as quickly or exactly the same as with UW Deskmail.
Use these settings to set up any IMAP client software program to connect to the UW Exchange server. Note that the server settings are different for UW Exchange Online and UW Exchange Local. For information on the difference between UW Exchange Online and UW Exchange Local, see Future Directions: UW Exchange and the Cloud.
