*Repair rates for Fleet Services owned vehicles are only charged to departments for any specialized equipment or modification requests

Additional Info:

  1. Rate adjustments are tied to the fiscal year calendar (7/1 thru 6/30)
  2. There will be a parking fee of $.33 per day for permanent assigned vehicles and $.13 per hour for daily/UCAR rentals (max charge of $.65 per day)
  3. Additional fuel costs will be charged at current fuel prices based on fuel gallons used. UCAR fueling will be charged at current fuel prices based on mileage used
  4. Additional collision damage fee of $1.00 per day is assessed per rental daily, weekly and permanent assignment rental; $0.20 per hour
  5. 2009/2010 invoices will include separate line items for the following costs: Rental rate, mileage rate, fuel, parking, and insurance.
  6. Rental charges are assessed by booked reservation request start and end times. Contact Fleet Services to report an early vehicle return to reduce booked reservation charges. Fleet Services will end the booked reservation at the time reported
  7. Rental charges will not be assessed for reservation cancellations made before the start of a booked reservation. Reservation booked charges will be assessed in full for no show rentals

Fleet Services Rate Summary for 2009-2010

  • To reduce depreciation costs we’ve extended the depreciation cycle for all Fleet vehicles. Hybrids will increase from 7 to 10 years. All other vehicles will be extended by one year.
  • A standard rate has been applied to daily and weekly rentals
  • Service fees for University of Washington vehicles that are not covered by the Fleet Services rental agreement will be charged at a higher hourly rate
  • External agency rentals will be charged at cost if Fleet Services doesn’t have enough vehicles to meet demand
  • There are now 14 vehicle price groups rather than 10
