Fleet Services’ Fuel Reduction Days to Launch UW’s Fuel Reduction Effort :Aug 08

Join Fleet Services’ fuel-saving team and help the UW reduce its fuel
consumption. As a result of the current economic climate, Washington State
Governor, Chris Gregoire, has urged State agencies to reduce fuel
consumption by 5%. Fleet Services welcomes this challenge and hopes that
with your help, the UW will exceed this goal.

To launch the UW’s effort, Fleet Services will be hosting Fuel Reduction
Days next Monday August 25 – Friday 29. The event will be open 9:00 a.m.
to 3:00 p.m. daily:

Monday – Thursday: Test drive one of our all-electric trucks

Wed 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.: Speak with a representative from Valley
Freightliner about hybrid medium-duty trucks and hybrid step vans

Fuel-saving tips

Free tire gauges for all University vehicles

Fleet Services vehicle attendants will be available to show you how to
test your tire pressure

Basic vehicle diagnostics by Fleet Services staff will ensure your
University vehicle is getting the best mileage

Light refreshments will be available
