Special Events Parking

There’s more than one way to get here - The University of Washington encourages you to join our efforts to improve traffic conditions and to protect the environment. Please consider using an alternative to driving alone to get to any campus event. See more information on taking a bus to the UW.

If you plan to attend a special event at Meany Theatre or Kane Hall in the evening, the closest parking is in the Central Plaza Garage, located underground at 15th Ave NE and NE 41st St. Evening event parking in the Central Plaza Garage costs $10.00. However, there is also additional parking in several west campus lots (W6, W12, and W14) where pay stations are available. These areas are for parking after 4 p.m. weekdays and on Saturday mornings. The pay stations accept $1 bills and coins, but do not give change. Parking in these lots is $5 (sales and city parking taxes included).

Persons who are mobility-impaired should self-identify at any gatehouse when entering campus for assigned parking in a disability parking area that’s close to their destination.

Print out and complete the appropriate blanks. Return completed form to the Special Events Office by fax (206) 543-9149 or campus mail (Box 355360). Note: If a budget number is charged, the person authorizing the use of that number must sign this form.
