Visitors and Guests

When you come to campus and need to park please stop by a staffed gate house to purchase a permit. Gate houses are conveniently located across campus:

• NE 45th St and Memorial Way by the Burke Museum
• 15th Ave NE and NE 41st St. in the underground garage
• 15th and Stevens Way by Meany Hall
• Pend Oreille Rd. off of Montlake Ave NE
• Columbia Road directly in back of the University of Washington Medical Center

Gate houses are open Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Saturdays from 7 a.m. until noon. Parking Specialists are happy to assign a parking location according to your destination. Please ask about disability parking and building access information if needed.

Be Sure to Read the Signs! Parking is enforced on all days at all times so please make sure you park legally.

Gatehouse-issued Permits

Gate house permits are sold via a pay-on-entry system. This means that the customer pays the full parking rate at the time of purchase and can return to a gate house for a prorated refund if the visit is less than 4 hours.We also offer several self-serve options (see below).
