Biking to Campus

Welcome to UW bikespace

If you bike to campus or are bike-curious, bikespace is for you. Bicycling is one of the green transportation options supported by UW Transportation Services, and we’re pleased to introduce bikespace as a single repository for the variety of bicycle offerings available on campus. Interested in taking a bicycle maintenance class? Curious where you can find covered bike parking on campus? Itching to participate in Ride in the Rain? It’s all in one place – bikespace – and it’s all just a click away.

Bikespace signs and decals identify UW bike racks, lockers, and houses. These make it easy for students and employees to contact Transportation Services with bike-related comments or questions.

Calculate your commute

Use this interactive web-based application to explore how your commute choices affect the cost, CO2 output and calories burned by your commute. Created by UW students, funded by the Campus Sustainability Fund, and supported by UW Transportation Services and the Environmental Stewardship & Sustainability (ESS) office, the site gives commuters a new tool for making commuting choices. Try it

UW is recognized as one of the most bicycle-friendly universities in the country and Transportation Services looks forward to enhancing that reputation with the bikespace program. We’re pedaling hard to make bikespace your ultimate UW bicycle resource, so visit us often.
