Services Provided

Responds 24-7 to urgent maintenance calls.

In an emergency, a Facilities Operations Maintenance Specialist (FOMS) checks out the situation and takes whatever steps are necessary to alleviate or resolve the immediate problem. As required, additional staff are called in to handle specific problems. Otherwise, the FOMS will write a work request to the appropriate shop to take care of the problem.

FOMS also maintain, test, repair, and inspect fire sprinkler and life-safety systems, and provide operational support for the other critical campus utility systems.

How to Obtain Services

Routine and emergency services (essential services are covered 24 hours a day) may be obtained by calling: 206-685-1411

After Hours Service

After 3:30 PM on weekdays and 24 hours a day on weekends, calls to 206-685-1411 and 206-543-3010 are forwarded to the University Police Department. Maintenance calls of a serious nature are transmitted by two-way radio to the FOMS on duty.
