UWAB, UW Foundation Partnership Makes Donating Easier

Last December, the UW Foundation created an account for donations to the UWAB scholarship fund. Now it's even easier to support the UWAB by making a gift online through the UW Foundation account. The benefits include recognition of your UWAB donation within your overall UW giving, which will increase your points for the Presidents Club and Tyee Club. This new account will allow you the ease of flexibility to make a donation at any time, consider planned giving options, and know that 100% of the funds will go directly to support student scholarships awarded by the UWAB. Want to donate? Make a gift now!

Since its founding in 1946, UWAB has raised more than $1.25 million in scholarship funds. The UWAB is one of two groups in the UWAA, and the first, to award one-year, full-tuition scholarships to students who are outstanding academically, volunteer in the community and have a strong work ethic. In the past, we were only able to process your donations with check or credit cards through our fundraising events or through the mail. This new partnership will give you the flexibility to make a donation any time during the year and to use the variety of options the UW Foundation offers to support UWAB scholarships. See how easy it is to support the UWAB: Check out the UWAB page on the UW Foundation Web site. You may also contact George Zeno, executive director of Scholarships & Student Life, at 206-685-4445 or gzeno@uw.edu to find out how to make a gift or establish a planned gift to create a legacy benefitting UWAB scholarships.

Visit the UWAB home page to learn more about our work and to see a picture of this year’s outstanding scholarship recipients. With your help, we will continue to fulfill our mission of “Changing Lives, One Scholarship at a Time.”
