Secure Code Repository

Networking and resources to make UW web development more secure!

What is it?

No need to reinvent the wheel when another department already has! The two-fold goal of this resources is to facilitate collaboration and secure coding practices through a consolidated source of peer-reviewed code.

This community-based resource will provide a central clearinghouse for code for services and issues specific to the UW campus. Members of the UW community can request access, and those granted access can share their code, and use, review, and suggest improvements to posted code.

What will it contain?

The first half of the directory, the "community" area, is the collaboration space where developers can work together to develop libraries that accomplish common tasks, such as webservice clients, authentication/authorization libraries, and data-handling routines.

After a library has been finished and been reviewed for security by other developers, it will be moved into the vetted section of the repository where it can be maintained in a single location and changes announced to the development community that uses it.
