Using the TA Conference app

Your conference schedule, session materials, feedback surveys, and campus maps are all available through the TA Conference AttendeeHub appWith the app you’ll also be able to network with other conference participants and receive notifications about conference related events, opportunities, and any last minute room changes.

Download the TA Conference app

If you registered for the conference you should receive an email invitation to download the app. The invitation will be sent to the email address you provided when registering.

  1. Find your email invitation. Check your inbox for a message from UW TA Conference.
    Open the email from the mobile device you plan to bring to the conference.
  2. Click the Download the App button in the email to be taken to the App Store. Wait for the CrowdCompass AttendeeHub app to install on your device and then—before entering your details into the app—return to your email invitation.
  3. Click the Verify Account button near the bottom of the email. This will take you to the TA Conference event and unlock all of the app’s features, including your schedule.

What if I don’t have a smartphone?

You can use the web version of the app. Enter uwta2019 for access.

I registered for the conference, but I haven’t received an invitation to download the app. What should I do?

Please email us at to request an invitation.

Why can’t I see my schedule?

Log into to app:

  1. Open the app and tap Login for more features at the top.
  2. Enter your first and last name (exactly as they appear in your registration).
  3. Enter your email address (as it appears in your registration). Once you complete this step the system will email you a verification code.
  4. Enter the verification code and tap the Verify button.
  5. Go to the home page, tap the Schedule icon.
  6. Tap on the My Schedule tab at the bottom of the page. In a few minutes you should see your schedule.

Update your profile

Once you’re logged in to the app, you can update your mobile profile:

  1. From the app home screen, tap the hamburger icon (the three lines at the top of the screen).
  2. Then tap your name. From Edit Profile page, you have the option of including a photo of yourself, editing your profile information, adding contact information, and linking your account to social media platforms for easy posting from the app.

Manage your privacy settings

Set your profile to private:

  1. Access your profile settings. If you’d rather have control over who can see your profile, you can set it to private. 
After logging in, tap the hamburger icon (the three lines at the top of the screen), then your name.
  2. Under Privacy Settings set your profile to Private. With this setting enabled you’ll have to approve another attendee’s contact request before they can view your profile.

Hide your name from the Attendee List:

  1. Access the attendee list. Log in, go to the home screen and tap the Attendees icon to get to the Attendee list.
  2. Change your attendee options. From the Attendee List, tap the Silhouette and gear icon near the top right corner of the screen to open Attendee Options. You then have the option to Show/Hide on Attendee List. Fellow attendees will not be able to find you on the list if you opt to Hide on Attendee List.

Networking and scheduling appointments

Information about using the app to network and schedule appointments with other attendees is available in the app.  Please go to the app’s home screen, tap the App Information icon and scroll down to find Networking.

Workshop, plenary and conference feedback surveys

Please give us your feedback! We will use it to plan next year’s conference.

To access the workshop and plenary surveys:

  1. From the app’s home page tap the Schedule icon
  2. Select the My Schedule tab at the bottom of the page
  3. Choose the date of your workshop or plenary (at the top of the page)
  4. Find the workshop or plenary you are looking for and tap on its name
  5. Scroll down to the Surveys section, then tap on the name of the feedback form..

To access the overall TA Conference feedback form:

  1. From the app’s home page tap the Conference Feedback icon
  2. This will take you to a Google form titled “Overall Conference Feedback 2018”

Viewing event notifications

  1. From the app’s home page tap the Activity Feed icon
  2. Tap Notifications at the top of the screen to view a list of current TA Conference announcements
