Syntactic Theory III

Focus on primary readings in syntactic theory, from classic papers on constraints and the architecture of grammar to recently published articles. Prerequisite: LING 508 or permission of instructor. Offered: Sp.

Class description

This course focuses on recent (post 1995) developments in syntactic theory, from the perspective of Chomsky's Minimalism Program.

LING 508 (or the equivalent)

problem sets, final paper on a topic related to course content
