Gender and Sexuality

Explores gender and human sexuality by focusing on diversity and development. Considers behavioral, social, historical, and cultural aspects.

Class description

Course Subtitle: Introduction to Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer Studies.

This interdisciplinary course will provide an introduction to key questions, theories, histories, and research methods in LGBTQ studies.

Student learning goals

General method of instruction

Lecture, discussion, group work, and film screenings.

Recommended preparation

No prerequisites necessary.

Class assignments and grading

Reading response papers; contribution to in-class and online discussion; exams; and final reflective paper.
