Sedimentology

Detailed and comprehensive analysis of the field of sedimentology including surface processes, sedimentary petrology, sedimentary environments, and stratigraphy. Includes lab and field trips. Prerequisite: either TESC 117 or TESC 337.

Class description

This class focuses on sedimentary rocks, the processes that from them, and the environments in which they are formed. It is aimed at environmental sceince and studies students and provides them with a geological context for the study of modern environments.
