Introductory Biology II

Covers molecular and cellular biology, including the chemistry of life, metabolism and energetics, cell structure and function, and application of molecular techniques to environmental studies. Field trips and labs required. Second in a series of introductory biology courses for science majors. Prerequisite: minimum grade of 1.5 in TESC 120; minimum grade of 1.7 in TESC 141.

Class description

I will provide a syllabus with detailed information. You will need Freeman Vol. 4, with Mastering Biology, or you can purchase a separate access code if you get a used book. The Vol. 1 textbook is a more affordable option (or lighter option) for those who don't already have the full-length textbook and don't intend to continue to bio 3.
