In this introductory course you will learn about the application of ArcGIS, a desktop mapping software, to the field of planning.

The class will be a combination of lectures/tutorials and a series of skill-building exercises that will provide students with hands-on experience with the system and its many components.

Class assignments and grading

Exercises will focus on developing students'skills in organizing, displaying, querying, and analyzing cartographic data on the local to regional scales of most interest to planners.

The final grade is based on the exercises and project. There is no exam
