Introduction to modern Turkish literature. Second in a sequence of three. Prerequisite: TKISH 421.
Class description
Final issues about Turkish sentence structure. Developmemt of previously acquired reading, listening comprehension, speaking and writing abilities.
Student learning goals
General method of instruction
there will be reading material, in situ reading material will be supplied. Students will read and discuss the reading material in class. Ther ewill be frequent in situ writing exercises.
Recommended preparation
Students should do at least one hour of concentrated reading exercise, and devote half an hour a day for vocabulary work. Also every week reviewing a certain section of the text book is strongly suggested.
Class assignments and grading
there will be weekly composition assignments, journal, reading assignments, and exercises in the text book.
50% class participation, 30% homeworks, 20%tests
