Special Topics in Advanced Biostatistics

Advanced-level topics in biostatistics offered by regular and visiting faculty. Prerequisite: permission of instructor. Offered: jointly with BIOST 578; AWSpS.

Class description

The goal of this class is to practice the entire process of addressing a scientific problem by analyzing a data set, interpreting the results and writing a well-structured concise report.

Class discussions supplemented by weekly assignments.

Recommended preparation

Class assignments and grading

Students will work on two consecutive projects based on a real data set. The assignments will lead them through the process.
