Study and analysis of special topics in public affairs. Topics vary each quarter depending on curricular needs and interests of students and faculty.
Class description
Topic: Congressional Research Service (CRS) This course is part of a three quarter course sequence sponsored by the Congressional Research Service (CRS) in Washington D. C. The sequence will examine and critique the BCA (CBA) protocols of the Federal water agencies. At the end of the sequence, the students will present a joint paper to be presented to staff members in Washington D. C. The first quarter was an introduction to BCA (PBAF 518), and is a prerequisite for registering in the latter two quarters. The next two courses for winter and spring will concentrate on analysis and recommendations for CRS. Both the review and the analysis with recommendations will be presented by selected students in Washington D. C. at the end of the Spring quarter.
