Examines selected issues of importance in all areas of public policy. Focus on in-depth analysis of vital public policy issues and the integration of economic, political, and administrative perspectives on them. Offered: jointly with POL S 404.
Class description
PB AF 499 is intended as a refresher course in microeconomics and public policy that will prepare students for PB AF 516 (Microeconomic Policy Analysis), a core course in the MPA curriculum. The course will focus on the aspects of basic microeconomic theory that are essential to public policy analysis. Special attention will be given to math skills needed for PB AF 516.
