Weekly meetings for discussion of current topics. Prerequisite: graduate standing in Psychology, or permission of instructor.
Class description
In this seminar we will cover various topics related to mathematical reasoning in children and adults. We will begin by reading the book “The origins of mathematical knowledge in childhood� by Catherine Sophian. Then, we will read various journal articles. We’ll choose the specific topics and readings based on the interests of the participants. My current interest is people's understanding and use of rational numbers
