Class description
Description: This seminar is intended as a broad introduction to American politics as a sub-field of political science inquiry. The readings represent two classes of material: some are among the discipline’s classic books, foundational in their contribution to what we know about American politics; others are among the most important recent works, either summing up our progress in the field or posing provocative new assertions that challenge conventional wisdom.
