Class description
Description: This course is intended to expose you to many of the problems and issues of world politics and the primary theoretical explanations for state behavior in the international system. As such, it will focus on the nature of the international system, the causes of international conflict, the challenges to establishing international cooperation, and political dimensions of the international economy. The purpose of this course is to provide a theoretical and historical basis for analyzing and understanding world politics. Current and historical events will also be discussed as we assess the utility of various theoretical approaches.
