Class description
Description: The purpose of this course is to familiarize the student with the American foreign policy process so that he/she can critically evaluate current and future foreign policy decisions. Foreign policy decisions are the product of an historical context, a complex bureaucratic process, and an intertwined domestic and international political environment. We will examine each of these components and this is reflected by the set of required books.

Assignments: There will be some additional readings assigned, including a daily newspaper since we will discuss current foreign policy on a daily basis. Students can expect two exams and a set of short response papers.
