Human Physiology

Intensive coverage of physiology across the life span through lectures, conference. Includes excitable tissue, neurophysiology, skeletal muscle; spinal reflex; autonomic nervous system; temperature regulation, neuroendocrinology, and reproductive physiology. Class description

This course (PBIO 505) and its companion in the winter quarter (PBIO 506) provide an introduction to the study of human physiology. Topics covered in the autumn quarter (PBIO 505) include: the physiology of the peripheral and central nervous systems, muscle physiology, renal physiology and gastrointestinal physiology.
