Examination of the metaphysical and epistemological views of Locke and Berkeley, with perhaps some attention also to Hume. Prerequisite: either PHIL 322 or PHIL 350.
Class description
A study of the epistemological and metaphysical views of Locke and Berkeley. Topics will include innate ideas, abstract ideas, primary and secondary qualities, substance, knowledge of the external world, idealism, and personal identity.
