Introduction to Epistemology

Nature, definition, and possibility of knowledge.

Class description

We will treat a number of questions, drawn from classical and contemporary sources, about knowledge. What is it? What are the kinds and limitations of knowledge? How do we acquire or improve knowledge? Is knowledge possible at all (skepticism)? What good is knowledge, anyway?
