Ancient Philosophy

Survey of ancient Greek philosophy, beginning with the pre-Socratics and proceeding on through Plato to Aristotle.

Class description

This course will be a survey of ancient Greek philosophy, beginning with the Presocratics and proceeding on through Socrates and Plato to Aristotle. Approximately equal attention will be given to metaphysical, epistemological, and ethical or political questions. TEXT: "Readings in Ancient Greek Philosophy", S.
